Shipping and Receiving Stocker
Our growing business is searching for a qualified and experienced Shipping and Receiving Stocker to assist with inventory management, loading, and unloading shipments.
This role is physically demanding and requires someone who can lift, move, and organize products and materials safely and efficiently.
Shipping and Receiving Stocker have experience in supply chain and inventory control. They are characterized by excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.
Attention to detail and problem-solving aptitude are qualities the ideal candidate must possess. Our ideal candidate is an excellent communicator, with strong attention to detail and problem solving skills.
To excel in this role, the Shipping and Receiving Stocker need in-depth knowledge of supply chain, inventory control and processes.
The goal is to ensure our operations have always an adequate flow of the material they need.
Responsibilities
- Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach overhead, climb ladders
- Move and organize stock within the warehouse
- Assist with packaging, labeling, and preparing items for shipment
- Keep the work area clean and organized
- Perform inventory checks and report discrepancies
- Comply with receiving and warehousing procedures
- Prepare and file detailed records on procurement activity, quantity and vendors.
- Assist in distribution of supplies in the organization
- Control inventory levels and ensure availability of material during emergencies
- Prepare and file detailed records on procurement activity, quantity and vendors.
- Assist with stocking and storage of materials received.
- Must maintain and record inventory
- Pull inventory orders for shop crew.
- Requirements
- Proven experience as materials handler
- Basic Microsoft EXCEL skills and strong analytical capabilities (ability to translate analysis into actionable insight)
- Working knowledge of ERP systems (preferably JOBSCOPE)
- Experience in shipping and receiving
- Familiarity with supply chain and inventory management systems
- A problem-solver
- Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
Schedule :
- Full-time, with occasional overtime as needed
- Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach overhead, climb ladders.
