Handyman/Maintenance

We are a small family-owned company that is seeking someone that is professional, and can maintain a friendly rapport with residents, team members, the General Manager, office staff and subcontractors. You will be responsible for general maintenance and repair duties including identifying the need for repairs, responding to residents' maintenance requests, and daily/weekly/monthly property maintenance. We are asking that you be skilled and hard working with problem solving abilities and be able to preform basic repairs.

Essential Functions:

Respond to maintenance request in a timely and professional manner.

Repair plumbing and electrical issues.

Maintain the cleanliness of outside spaces such as parking lots and sidewalks around the facilities and throughout the resort.

Perform minor building improvements.

Demonstrate a spirit of cooperation and teamwork.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities:

High school diploma or GED

Must be able to speak, read, and write English sufficient enough to carry out the duties.

Interpersonal Skills- Focuses on solving conflict; Listens to others without interrupting; Able to remain professional in high pressure situations; Collaborates effectively with others in team settings.

On-the-job training.

Other Qualifications:

Solid experience with plumbing and electrical systems

Ability to work with hardware tool and power equipment.

Extremely organized with good communication skills

Detail orientated with an aptitude for problem-solving.

Physical Demands:

This position involves work where duties will be performed both indoors and outdoors.

While performing the duties of this job, you will be regularly required to stand and walk, climb, or balance, kneel, crouch or crawl.

Occasionally be required to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $17.25 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
