Summary: Enhances and improves the SRIM experience specifically in Heartful Care for our
residents and their families, demonstrates and promotes SRIMs core value of the Golden Rule
accepts management responsibilities of the Nursing Department in absence of the director of
resident services, and assists in managing the care of all residents by performing the following
duties.
1. Demonstrates excellent decision-making skills and can understand the impact of those
decisions.*
2. Sets and manages priorities.*
3. Accepts calls from staff during nights and weekend.*
4. Conducts meetings/training as required/requested.*
5. Communicates in a clear, accurate and timely manner.*
6. Assists in reviewing new associate applications, checks references, interviews applicants
for the best possible hire.*
7. Assists in monitoring the associates work and performance.*
8. Assists in coaching/counseling associates in a respectful manner.*
9. Assists in completing the associate performance evaluations in accordance with
established policy.*
10. Assists in monitoring expenditures weekly to ensure compliance with department
budgeted monthly amounts.*
11. Assists in scheduling associates based upon budgeted FTE's and prepares assignments
to ensure efficiency.*
12. Provides hands on care on an as needed basis to meet the needs of the residents.*
13. Assists in performing evaluation for residents to determine level of care and services.*

15. Ensures medication orders are accurate on the MORS.*
16. Assists in reviewing and investigating all incidents reports and recommends appropriate
action/follow up to the Executive Director.*
17. Understands and adheres to the ALF regulations pertaining to assisted living health care
laws.*
18. Maintains a safe and secure working environment free of objects/situations that could
cause harm and/or falls to residents, families, visitors, and associates.*
19. Practices good body mechanics and safe working habits.*
20. Knows, understands, and follows established policy and procedures in emergency
situations.*
21. Is considered essential personnel especially during emergencies.*
22. Wears clean and appropriate dress per established policy.*
23. Understands and complies with HIPAA regulations.*
24. Takes initiative in work, seeks out additional information and offers solutions/suggestions.
25. Willingly takes on special projects or assignments outside of regular duties.
26. Performs all other reasonable duties as assigned or as requested.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Directly supervises employees in the Resident Services and Nursing Departments. Carries out
supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising
performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving
problems.

interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal

Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of word processing
software, electronic medical records.
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to two years related experience
and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certificates and Licenses:
Valid Nursing License
