Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dialysis Technician to join our healthcare team. The Dialysis Technician will be responsible for operating dialysis machines, monitoring patients during treatment, and ensuring the highest quality of care. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to patient safety and comfort.
Key Responsibilities:
· Prepare and operate dialysis machines for patient treatments.
· Monitor patients during dialysis treatment, including vital signs and machine settings.
· Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of dialysis equipment.
· Ensure proper sterilization and cleanliness of equipment and treatment areas.
· Assist in patient care activities, including patient education and support.
· Responsible for accurate documentation in the patient’s health record including vital signs, information related to initiation, patient treatment, and termination of treatment and progress notes.
· Prepare, organize and efficiently utilize supplies and equipment to prevent wastage.
· Maintain machine cultures per hospital policy.
· Collaborate with healthcare team members to provide comprehensive patient care.
· Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
· Assist healthcare team with miscellaneous tasks as needed.
· Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician (CCHT), Certified Hemodialysis Technician (CHT) or Certified Hemodialysis Bio-Medical Technician (CHBT)
· Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
· Previous experience in a dialysis or healthcare setting preferred.
· Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology.
· Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
Job Types: Part-time, Per diem
Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
