OUR ROLE

PSL is hiring a Senior Visual Designer with experience in branding, web, and packaging design. At PSL, you'll use a broad set of design disciplines to brand new businesses with world-class founders. We are looking for an exceptional Senior Visual Designer, who can drive brand identity and systems, messaging, marketing collateral, pitch decks, and swag collateral for a wide variety of businesses. You will collaborate with both the PSL core team as well as PSL spinout founders working to build the next generation of Pacific Northwest companies, from the ground up.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Ideate, Validate, and Create

• Participate in new company creation ideation sessions
• Collaborate with the core team member on new concept development
• Talk to customers and synthesize VOC learnings to help drive concept affinity
• Build test brands and look at data through the lens of our validation framework
• Deliver creative advertising messing to test value props resonance with customers
  
  

Brand Development

• Participate in early-stage brand workshops including naming, brand attribute definition, and voice
• Create mood boards and brand identity options that reflect brand values
• Create, extend and apply brand identities across product and marketing channels
• Work with core team members and key stakeholders in the execution of key business design needs
• Help founders hone their mission, vision, and values
• Create brand books, style guides, and documentation to communicate the brand system and messaging foundation and their future team
  
  

Marketing Deliverables

• Drive brochure marketing website design and development in webflow
• Create unique marketing swag from t-shirts to business cards
• Build decks with CEOs to visually communicate their companies values to investors and new hires
• Work with the go-to-market team on conversion funnel design and marketing messaging
• Contribute to the PSL brand, website, and company social media presence
  
  

Product Design

• Participate in the voice of customer interviews to inform the brand values
• Work iteratively on initial concepts, prototypes, and details designs informed by user research, marketplace and behavior trends, and your best ideas
• Concept and design prototypes that will deliver a magical experience
• Translate brand tenets into elegant user interface design
• Drive the communication of design guidelines and patterns to ensure a consistent, intuitive experience across digital products
  
  

WHO YOU ARE

The Senior Visual Designer should balance logic with emotion, and has a proven track record of designing world-class experiences. Success in this environment requires:

• Someone who likes agency: good at time management, weighing tradeoffs, and are self-driven
• A bias for action in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous, environment; an ownership attitude
• A deep sense of curiosity and proven ability to propose creative concepts during initial project phases and the ability to deliver on those ideas through detailed design
• Experience working in a highly iterative, and collaborative environment where opinions are strong but loosely held
• Experience working individually and collaboratively, and working directly with developers for implementation of designs
• Efficiency in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and prototyping tools
• Efficiency or excitement to learn Webflow
• 6 years of relevant brand and user interface design experience
• A Bachelor's degree in Visual Communication Design, related field of study, or relative experience
  
  

The salary range for this position is $90,000-$140,000 Annually

Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications, education, skill level, competencies and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for an equity grant.

PSL provides the following benefit for regular, full time employees:
