Materials Clerk

Reports To: Materials Management Director

FLSA Classification: Full-time, Non-exempt, Hourly $19.00-$23.00

Essential Functions:

• Maintain the receiving and disbursement for the inventory both physically and by entering quantity of stock received, distributed, and transferred in the computer system. Ensure quantities entered and stock numbers are accurate.
• Maintain the organization, cleanliness, and safety of all designated locations within PMC.
• Notify the buyer or director immediately when stock, materials, or equipment is below par and requires ordering.
• Assist in periodic inventory counts by generating count sheets, verifying quantities, and researching and solving discrepancies.
• Track all expiration dates on supplies, per process in place. pull expired items as needed, from all areas throughout the facility.
• Maintain files, answer phones, take messages and transfer calls to the appropriate party as necessary. Demonstrate excellent organizational skills.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• Highschool Diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous working experience with inventory, purchasing, and receiving preferred.
• Previous working experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Proficient computer skills necessary, such as Microsoft Excel required.

• Must be able to recognize details such as color and depth within a few feet of the observer.
• Frequently operates computers, machinery, and other healthcare equipment.
