Job Details
Under general supervision, performs routine to complex nuclear medicine procedures utilizing radioactive materials and radioactive pharmaceuticals in accordance with established nuclear medicine guidelines and protocols.
Performs radionuclide imaging of organs, organ systems, compartments physiologic functions, assays of body fluids, tissues and radio bioassays.
Demonstrates and applies knowledge of Nuclear Medicine imaging.
Demonstrates and applies knowledge of principles of radiation safety.
Prepares and positions patient for procedure by using established Nuclear Medicine protocols to achieve the highest quality image.
Follows protocols specified by the radiologist.
Educates patient, collects patients’ history, and communicates patient information to the radiologist.
Enters complex data into the computer systems.
Reviews, verifies and evaluates images to ensure technical quality and image quality.
Performs other duties assigned.
Must be Covid Vaxxed and boosted if eligible.
Job Requirements
Required certifications : NMTCB or ARRT and California Department of public health NMT.
