In this role, you’ll be responsible for developing and refining mechanical designs, creating detailed schematics, and collaborating with engineers to ensure high-quality results. Here’s how you’ll make an impact on the team:
- Develop and refine mechanical designs using CAD software such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD
- Create schematics and technical drawings that align with industry standards, including GD&T principles
- Work closely with engineers to integrate components and systems seamlessly
- Conduct Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to assess design integrity and performance
- Utilize document management tools to track design iterations and project updates
- Participate in design reviews, providing insights and recommendations for improvements
- Maintain thorough documentation of design processes, changes, and specifications
Here’s what you’ll need to be successful in this role:
- Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Pro/ENGINEER)
- Strong understanding of GD&T and its application in mechanical design
- Experience in drafting schematics and assembling mechanical systems
