PSI Drafter
Summary :
The Draftsperson at Pipe Services International (PSI) is responsible for supporting engineering and project teams by developing accurate and detailed technical drawings essential for project execution. This role ensures that all drafting requirements are completed on time, within budget, and in full compliance with PSI’s policies, client specifications, and contract documents. The Draftsperson works closely with multiple departments to optimize project efficiency, maintain quality standards, and support business development initiatives while contributing to a safe and professional work environment.
Essential Functions :
- Develop temporary piping isometric drawings and spool fabrication drawings , including detailed bills of materials.
- Create “as-built” drawings for PSI equipment, ensuring proper documentation of modifications and installations.
- Generate composite process flow diagrams (PFDs) from client-provided P&IDs.
- Assist project engineers in reviewing client drawings and summarizing system configurations for input into fluid flow analysis software .
- Work with project engineers and management to implement new or improved designs and procedures.
- Interface with the Operations team to provide PSI equipment load lists, material purchase requisitions, and fabrication requisitions.
- Support the business development and sales teams by preparing technical drawings for proposals and presentations.
- Maintain and improve process efficiency and quality standards to enhance project accuracy and effectiveness.
- Maintain a positive and proactive attitude , ensuring timely completion of PSI drawings and adherence to project deadlines.
- Analyze and resolve work problems or assist team members in troubleshooting drafting-related issues.
- Ensure compliance with PSI’s safety policies and procedures , contributing to a secure and organized work environment.
- Maintain facility security, organization, and cleanliness to ensure a safe and efficient workspace.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
