Procurement and Inventory Supervisor

Job Summary:The Procurement and Inventory Supervisor at Pipecare Group will oversee the procurement and inventory management processes within the Inline Inspection (ILI) industry. This role ensures the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials and services, while maintaining optimal inventory levels to support operational efficiency and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Procurement Management:
• Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials and services
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure the best terms and conditions
• Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery performance
• Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong relationships to ensure continuous improvement
  
  

• Inventory Management:
• Oversee inventory control processes to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize excess inventory
• Implement inventory management systems and practices to ensure accuracy and efficiency
• Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies
• Coordinate with production and project teams to forecast inventory needs and adjust stock levels accordingly
• Order, receive (GR), and manage minimum/maximum levels for order intake, spares, and consumables
• Prepare shipments for both incoming and outgoing materials
• Compliance and Reporting:
• Ensure compliance with Pipecare Group policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements
• Prepare and present regular reports on procurement and inventory performance to senior management
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance procurement and inventory management efficiency
• Team Leadership:
• Supervise and mentor a team of procurement and inventory staff
• Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team capabilities
• Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement and inventory management, preferably within the ILI or related industry
• Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in inventory management software and ERP systems
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in Supply Chain Management (e.g., CPSM, CPIM)
• Experience with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies
• Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards
  
  

Physical and Mental Requirements:

• Lifting and Carrying: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Mobility: Must be able to walk and climb to perform duties, including maneuvering within a refinery or plant environment and accessing elevated platforms via ladders and stairwells
• Communication: Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing, or other communication capabilities, to communicate effectively
• Focus and Multitasking: Ability to maintain focus and multitask effectively
• Safety Equipment: Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection, if/where needed in manufacturing environments.
• Personal Mobility and Reflexes: Sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes, with or without reasonable accommodations, to perform office duties and travel to off-site locations when necessary
