What are the responsibilities and job description for the Grinder Technician position at Pipeline Plastics, LLC?
Summary:
The Grinder Technician is responsible for performing and maintaining the daily activities associated with the regrind of scrap and waste material. This includes housekeeping, safety, quality, maintaining production efficiencies, and repair and maintenance to minimize downtime. This position has schedule flexibility.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Practice proper PPE compliance and maintain a safe working record and environment
- Immediately communicate unsafe conditions, acts, or injuries to the Production Manager
- Preform preventive maintenance on all equipment as needed
- Maintain facility housekeeping
- Maintain and build job skills through company training programs
- Completion of grinder log and reporting paperwork
- Troubleshoot process mechanical problems and report issues to Maintenance team as need is required
- Adhere to ISO 9001 Quality, certification requirements
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge & Skill Requirements:
This position should possess the following skills/knowledge:
- High school diploma or equivalent, desired
- Mechanical troubleshooting abilities
- Analytical thinking and problem solving skills
- Ability to operate heavy machinery
- Punctual with good attendance
- Self-motivated and dependable
Working Conditions:
- Must be able to perform repetitive motion. Examples: walking, reaching, bending, twisting, stooping, pushing, pulling, and standing
- Clarity of vision and the ability to focus on a fast repetitious operation for extended periods of time.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to repeatedly lift 75 pounds to a height of 6 feet
- Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods of time in temperature extremes
- Position requires full range of body motion including twisting, bending, reaching, squatting, and ability to mount/dismount industrial equipment
- Ability to use hands, arms, and legs to physically handle and transport finished goods
