What are the responsibilities and job description for the Swim Instructor position at Pipeline Swimming?
Company Description
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Part-Time Swim Instructor to teach young swimmers in our Learn-to-Swim Program. This role focuses on helping beginner-level swimmers develop fundamental swimming skills, water confidence, and safety awareness in a fun and supportive environment.
Role Description
- Instruct beginner-level swimmers in essential swim techniques, including floating, kicking, breathing, and basic strokes
- Create engaging and structured lessons that cater to individual learning styles and progress levels
- Ensure a safe and encouraging environment for all swimmers, promoting water safety and confidence
- Provide clear, positive instruction and personalized feedback to help students improve
- Communicate with parents/guardians about their child’s progress and areas for improvement
- Maintain a professional and energetic approach to teaching
Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to effectively instruct and motivate swimmers of all ages and skill levels
- Must be able to lift 25 lbs. or more, including swim equipment, lane lines, and assisting young swimmers if needed.
- CPR & First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain before starting)
- Ability to obtain Red Cross Lifeguard certification within 60 days of hire.
Schedule & Pay
- Part-time, flexible hours (including evenings and/or weekends)
- Competitive hourly pay based on experience
