Responsibilities of the Ballistics Engineer include:
- Design, assemble, install, and maintain experimental equipment and systems
- Provide expertise in ballistics, military tactical information, and equipment
- Apply engineering principles across scientific, medical, and technical fields to support experimentation
- Support the development of testing procedures, equipment, and risk assessments for various research projects
- Serve as an Associate Investigator, advising study and Principal Investigators in instrumentation, data acquisition, and research execution
- Write and review SOPs to ensure compliance with safety policies
- 2 years of experience with programming, data acquisition, instrumentation, kinematic, and video motion capture
- Experience with ballistics, blast, impact, pressure gauges, etc.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (electrical, biomedical, mechanical, biomechanics, or a related field) from an ABET-accredited program
- Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
- Salary Range: $85,000 - $100,000 **depending on experience**
