Piper Companies is seeking a Claims Specialist to join an insurance company for a full-time position. This is a hybrid role (Tuesday through Thursday on-site in Durham, NC).
Responsibilities :
- Evaluate, investigate, and resolve claims.
- Provide customer support through phone, email, and video calls.
- Verify and analyze data to ensure valid claims and proper settlements.
- Establish claim reserves and authorize payments.
- Enter claim data into computer programs and maintain detailed file documentation.
- Communicate with claimants, medical professionals, and legal counsel as needed.
- Manage time effectively to handle new and pending claims and customer service requests.
- Maintain quality and production standards and suggest process improvements.
- Comply with HIPAA, Diversity Principles, and other corporate policies.
