Responsibilities for the Cyber Security Support Engineer:
- Design, integrate, and maintain cybersecurity infrastructure to support secure network operations and system defense.
- Implement and manage vulnerability solutions, including DoD-directed requirements and defense-in-depth strategies (e.g., IDS/IPS, firewalls, STIG compliance).
- Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to define engineering requirements and ensure alignment with security objectives.
- Manage systems backups and maintenance schedules to ensure data integrity and system reliability.
- Lead the design and operation of cybersecurity defense strategies, ensuring secure authentication, monitoring, and virtual hosting services.
- Minimum of 5 years of Linux experience.
- Minimum of 3 years with IDP, IPS, and Host-Based Security Solutions.
- Proficiency in tools such as Kali, Burp Suite Professional, and exploit development using Python or Bash.
- Strong technical skills in designing and maintaining cybersecurity defense strategies.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field is required.
- CompTIA Security CE (IAT Level II) and Certified Ethical Hacker (CND-IS) certifications are required prior to start.
- Salary Range: $170,000 - $190,000 *based on experience*
- Hybrid schedule (on-site 2x/week)
