Piper Companies is seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Analyst to join a major healthcare company in California , in a 100% remote capacity. This is a long term contract opportunity, with the possibility of extension. The Cybersecurity Analyst will play a crucial role in safeguarding the organization's sensitive data and systems, ensuring compliance with critical healthcare regulations, while identifying and mitigating security threats.
Responsibilities of the Cybersecurity Analyst include :
- Manage and maintain security infrastructure including firewalls, VPNs, and network monitoring systems to protect sensitive data and systems.
- Continuously monitor the network for vulnerabilities, conduct regular security scans, and identify potential threats or weaknesses.
- Design and implement robust cybersecurity strategies to safeguard data and maintain compliance with industry regulations (HIPAA, NIST, etc.).
- Respond to security incidents, investigate breaches, prepare detailed reports, and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
