Responsibilities of the Research Associate II include:
- Design, generate, and characterize recombinant proteins
- Perform mammalian cell culture, transient transfections, protein expressions, protein purifications, and micro pipetting in a BSL2 laboratory setting
- Perform ELISA assays and other cell-based assays
- Collect, analyze, and summarize data using statistical software programs
- Perform laboratory maintenance such as maintaining and calibrating equipment and ordering laboratory supplies
- Maintain detailed laboratory notebooks
- Create and revise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- 2 years of experience working in a GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice), GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) or BSL-2 environment
- Experience with TCID50, and plaque assays
- Bachelor of Science in biological sciences and/or related field such as biology, chemistry, molecular biology, biotechnology, biochemistry, etc.
- Salary: $50,000 - 65,000 annually, commensurate with experience
