Sr Splunk Developer-Top Secret cleared- Huntsville, AL

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking an experienced Splunk Developer to support an FBI contract located in Huntsville, AL. The Splunk Developer will be responsible for developing Splunk dashboards, analyzing enterprise logging systems, and engaging with both internal teams and client stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, customize, and maintain Splunk dashboards using SPL, XML, CSS, and other technologies.
• Create and optimize dashboards for application and system monitoring.
• Collaborate with team members to build roadmaps and define project deliverables.
• Write search queries and leverage regular expressions to analyze data.
• Utilize tools like Jira and Git to track requirements and manage workflows.
• Partner with a cyber-focused Splunk team member to enhance the organization’s logging and monitoring capabilities.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 8 years of experience in IT programs, with a focus on development and/or enterprise logging.
• Strong proficiency with Splunk technologies, including dashboard creation and SPL (Search Processing Language).
• Familiarity with XML, CSS, HTML, and enterprise logging (application, OS, and security).
• Experience writing and troubleshooting regular expressions and search queries.
• Knowledge of Dashboard Studio or similar tools.
• Top Secret clearance with eligibility for CI Poly.
• Soft Skills:
• Inquisitive and self-driven, with a passion for research and problem-solving.
• Capable of working independently and taking initiative without heavy supervision.
• Adaptable and open to learning new technologies or skills.
• Education Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of relevant experience, OR
• No degree with 14 years of relevant experience
  

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Splunk IT Service Intelligence (ITSI).
• Hands-on development experience with JavaScript.
• Familiarity with Jira and Git for task management and version control.
• Prior experience developing dashboards for security or operational monitoring.
  
  

Compensation:

Location: Huntsville, AL (Fully Onsite, Core Hours: 8 AM - 3 PM)

Clearance Level: must be eligible to work in the United States and maintain an Active US governemnt Top Secret (TS) clearance with CI Poly eligibility

Salary Range: $85,000/ year to $190,000/ year

Relocation Assistance: Available for candidates outside a 250-mile radius, subject to clients relocation policies.
