Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a System Administrator to join a Government Consulting company located in the DMV area (can sit in DC- JBAB, Reston VA, or College Park MD) through hybrid work. The System Administrator will conduct systems administration of cyber tool sets and server systems connected to networks across multiple classification domains.

- Collaborate to develop innovative solutions for secure and reliable operations of enterprise computer systems.
- Work individually or in a small integrated team, and may also lead a task, project, or team.
- Ensure project completion and provide guidance and direction to lower-level technicians, specialists, and managers.
- Develop new concepts and processes and analyze root causes to resolve complex issues.
- Perform day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for all client, server, storage, and network devices.
- Configure and manage Windows, UNIX, and Linux systems, and install and load operating system and application software, including Host-based Security System, Endpoint Security Suite (ESS), Splunk, Cribl, and network security tools, including Firewalls and ForeScout.
- Support Windows and Linux systems engineering efforts in system design and evaluation, solution engineering, software development, or system administration.
- 3 years of experience as a systems administrator (2/3 years= junior, 4/5-9 years =mid)
- Experience with installing, configuring, or maintaining devices, applications, and security tools, including Palo Alto Firewalls, Trellix ESS or former McAfee HBSS, ePO, and FireEye tools, Splunk and Cribl or ForeScout
- Experience with automating deployments, configuration management, or cybersecurity tools operations
- Experience with Cloud Enterprise and authorizing cloud systems
- Experience with Cloud services, including AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Experience with DoD Risk Management Framework
- HS diploma or GED and 6 years of experience with supporting IT projects and activities, Associate’s degree and 4 years of experience with supporting IT projects and activities, Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of experience with supporting IT projects and activities, or Master’s degree and 1 year of experience with supporting IT projects and activities
- Must be eligible to work in the United States and maintain an Active U.S. Government TS/SCI Clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam.
- DoD 8570.01-M Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II Certification, including Security CE, CCNA-Security, GSEC, SSCP, CySA , GICSP, or CND
- DoD 8570.01-M Cyber Security Service Provider - Infrastructure Support Certification, including CEH, CySA , GICSP, SSCP, CHFI, CFR, Cloud , or CND
- Salary Range: $90,000 - $150,000/ year ***depending on years of experience***
