Business Development Manager

Title: Business Development Leader – Biofuels

Location: Tennessee

Piper Maddox is partnering with a leading company in the biofuels industry to find a dynamic Business Development Leader to drive asset development and strategic growth!

Position Overview:

This individual will be instrumental in identifying, developing, and executing opportunities to expand the company’s biofuels asset portfolio, with a goal of increasing earnings by 40% over the next few years through strategic investments and revenue diversification.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and develop opportunities to acquire or build biofuels assets, focusing on transportation fuels such as SAF, ethanol, and renewable diesel.
• Lead project development efforts, including financial modeling and reporting, in collaboration with the commercial team.
• Manage immediate investment opportunities, with an annual capital allocation of approximately $30 million.
• Conduct feasibility studies to support executive decision-making.
• Stay ahead of industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes.
• Build and maintain relationships with key industry stakeholders.
• Lead negotiations for joint ventures and strategic partnerships.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5 years of experience in business development, with a focus on asset development in Biofuels.
• Proficiency in financial modeling and analytical tools.
• Strong preference for candidates with direct knowledge of biofuels project opportunities across the U.S.

Salary & Location

• $140k - $200k base DOE Bonus Benefits
• Nashville, TN (no remote options)
