Business Development Leader – Natural Gas & Biofuels
Piper Maddox is partnering with a leading company in the natural gas and biofuels industry to find a dynamic Business Development Leader to drive asset development and strategic growth!
Position Overview:
This individual will be instrumental in identifying, developing, and executing opportunities to expand the company’s biofuels asset portfolio, with a goal of increasing earnings by 40% over the next few years through strategic investments and revenue diversification.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop opportunities to acquire or build biofuels assets, focusing on transportation fuels such as SAF, ethanol, and renewable diesel, as well as natural gas.
- Lead project development efforts, including financial modeling and reporting, in collaboration with the commercial team.
- Manage immediate investment opportunities, with an annual capital allocation of approximately $30 million.
- Conduct feasibility studies to support executive decision-making.
- Stay ahead of industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes.
- Build and maintain relationships with key industry stakeholders.
- Lead negotiations for joint ventures and strategic partnerships.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in business development, with a focus on asset development in the natural gas or transportation fuels sector.
- Background in natural gas or fuels trading, market analysis is required.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and analytical tools.
- Strong preference for candidates with direct knowledge of biofuels project opportunities across the U.S.
Salary & Location
- $130k - $210k DOE Bonus
- Nashville, TN - Hybrid (no remote options)
