Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Director of Project Development to lead the development of their community solar and BESS projects from initial concept through construction readiness. Key Responsibilities:
- Originate and evaluate potential solar project opportunities, including site assessment, feasibility studies, and financial modeling.
- Manage project development timelines, budgets, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including landowners, municipalities, utilities, and contractors, to secure necessary permits, interconnection agreements, and project approvals.

Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as engineering, business, or environmental studies, is required; an advanced degree is preferred.
- 5-10 years of experience in solar project development or renewable energy project management.
- Strong understanding of distributed generation, interconnection processes, and permitting requirements.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
