Position Overview
The Procurement/Feedstock Supply Manager will play a critical role in sourcing food waste feedstock for our RNG production facilities. This individual will manage feedstock procurement activities, establish and maintain partnerships with feedstock suppliers, and oversee the logistics of feedstock delivery. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with strong negotiation skills, a passion for sustainability, and the ability to build lasting relationships with partners.
Key Responsibilities:
Feedstock Sourcing:
- Identify and secure sources of food waste feedstock from various industries, including food production, agriculture, and hospitality.
- Negotiate procurement contracts and pricing agreements to ensure a stable, cost-effective feedstock supply.
- Analyze market trends and identify new opportunities for feedstock sourcing.
Supplier Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with feedstock suppliers, ensuring high levels of partner satisfaction.
- Act as the primary point of contact for feedstock partners, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Conduct supplier audits and performance evaluations to ensure compliance with quality and sustainability standards.
Logistics & Supply Chain Management:
- Develop and manage logistics plans for the transportation of feedstock to facilities.
- Collaborate with internal teams and third-party logistics providers to optimize transportation costs and schedules.
- Monitor feedstock inventory levels and coordinate deliveries to prevent supply disruptions.
Compliance & Reporting:
- Ensure all feedstock procurement activities comply with local, state, and federal environmental regulations.
- Prepare regular reports on feedstock supply, cost metrics, and supplier performance for senior management.
- Work closely with sustainability teams to ensure feedstock sourcing aligns with our environmental goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a similar role, preferably in renewable energy, agriculture, or waste management.
- Strong negotiation, contract management, and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of transportation and logistics operations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in supply chain management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Passion for sustainability and renewable energy.
- Ability to travel as needed to meet with suppliers and visit feedstock sites.
