Location: Washington DC

Salary: $180,000 - $200,000 bonus

Piper Maddox are partnered with a highly successful private equity company who are a leading presence in the energy transition space. They focus on investing in businesses across a variety of industries from renewable energy, green building and sustainability. As a long-term partner to these organizations this business is playing a key role in the fight for clean energy and sustainability.

As a (Snr) Associate you will have the opportunity to work on origination, due diligence and financial closing across a wide range of investment opportunities e.g. clean energy, sustainability, tax credits etc. This is the opportunity to join a highly successful platform with close to $1bl in capital raised supporting industries that are critical to the energy transition space.

What you will do:

• Review and close on investment opportunities across a variety of industries that support the energy transition.
• Support the ongoing success of investments through asset management and tracking financial performance.
• Perform complex financial due diligence through the creating and maintenance of models aligned to individual investment opportunities.
• Support the ongoing investment strategy through research and analysis of new industries and opportunities.

What you will have:

• 2-5 years’ experience working in structured equity, private credit, project finance ideally with a focus on the climate or sustainability sectors.
• Strong financial modeling skills are a must – you must have a depth of experience in creating and managing complex financial models that include project, structuring, and credit.
• Ideally experience in one or more closed investment opportunities with a focus on credit.
• Passion and desire to work within climate change investing so support the transition to green energy across the US.
