The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in banking, capital markets, and financial leadership, with a proven track record of navigating the complexities of innovative and rapidly evolving sectors. By partnering with key stakeholders, the VP of Strategic Finance will play a central role in driving financial health, enabling sustainable growth, and creating long-term value for the company.
Responsibilities
- Reporting to the CFO and Head of Renewables, is expected to deliver strategic insights on third-party capital solutions, recapitalization efforts, and M&A opportunities.
- Build and manage relationships with EMS banking partners and external capital providers, creating strategies to optimize financial outcomes.
- Partner with CFO teams (tax, accounting, FP&A, capital markets, and treasury) to align financial products with strategic objectives.
- Support the Chief Investment Officer (CIO) and investment committee in evaluating and underwriting new products, initiatives, and growth opportunities.
- Conduct in-depth analyses of global market trends and fundamentals to guide capital allocation and market expansion.
- Identify and assess strategic partnerships and M&A opportunities, working closely with EMS leadership to drive business development.
- Review business performance regularly, delivering actionable insights and recommendations to the CFO and remaining executive committee.
Qualifications
Required:
- 10 years of progressive leadership experience in finance, with a strong focus on capital markets, recapitalization, M&A, and banking.
- Expertise in the energy and mobility industries, including renewable energy, electric vehicles, and transportation innovation.
- Demonstrated success in executing complex financial transactions, such as M&A and large-scale capital raising.
- Advanced knowledge of financial modeling, valuation, and strategic planning.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance and financial requirements in relevant sectors.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
Preferred:
- Experience working across both start-ups and established corporate finance environments.
- General understanding of REIT structures and industrial real estate.
Salary : $200,000 - $270,000
