We are currently looking for an experienced Investment Banking Associate to join our growing Financial Sponsors General Partner (GP) Advisory team based in Burlingame, CA.
The GP Advisory team is led by the former Global Head of Financial Sponsors at Morgan Stanley and co-founder of DBO Partners, acquired by Piper Sandler in 2022. The team has strong relationships with leading financial sponsors and routinely advises them on a variety of strategic initiatives, including mergers, acquisitions, minority stake sales, GP financing and liquidity solutions, and restructuring.
The Associate can expect to work closely with Founding Partners, Managing Partners, and other senior executives at sponsor clients, and will work closely with the Financial Sponsors team, which has relationships with 500 private equity firms as well as 100 family offices, pension funds, infrastructure funds and independent sponsors across North America and Europe.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide critical support during all phases of transactions
- Build financial models and perform detailed valuation analyses
- Coordinate transaction due diligence
- Conduct industry- and company-specific research
- Develop a versatile skillset that will serve as a strong foundation for achieving career goals
Qualifications:
- Prior investment banking industry experience preferred, including financial analysis and transaction execution
- Degree in finance, business, management plus other related degrees
- Interest in and working knowledge of alternative or traditional asset management, structured credit products and financial modeling
- Detail-oriented with an aptitude and interest in quantitative analysis
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to develop rapport with existing and potential clients
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
U.S. work eligibility is required.

The anticipated starting salary range for individuals expressing interest in this position is $175,000 - $225,000 per year. Placement within this range is dependent upon level of experience, location and other factors. This position is eligible for annual incentive compensation which will be a part of the total compensation. Total compensation for this position will be competitive with the market.
