Piper Sandler & Co., Chicago, IL seeks Investment Banking Vice Presidents, Healthcare Services - Conducting in-depth statistical research and financial analysis to support business proposals corporate finance transactions, and to support buying and execution activities, primarily within the Healthcare sector. Reviewing economic data and assessing financial projections for companies within the Healthcare sector for capital structure recommendations and providing economic forecasting for companies within the Healthcare sector. Interpreting market trends and advising on investment and business development opportunities, including financial transactions, while initiating new client relationships, including managing portions of investment banking, to expand and develop new energy client investment banking business. Supporting the origination and execution of investment banking transaction mandates for public and private companies, including preparing financial reports and presenting analyses with respect to various sophisticated financial transactions such as mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, restructurings, and leveraged capital transactions. Analyzing, structuring, and executing corporate finance transactions to include day-to-day M&A, capital raising, restructuring and financial advisory deal processes and projects by driving deal processes, managing resources, monitoring work quality and serving as the primary client liaison. Participating in business development activities within certain industries or geographic regions and preparing financial models and financial analysis, including detailed valuation analysis to assess the purchase price of a company using various industry established methodologies. Presenting reports and recommendations to clients. Supporting senior bankers in originating business, completing and presenting proposals for corporate finance transactions, and maintaining relationships by servicing the requirements of clients and negotiating engagement letters, confidentiality agreements and other purchase agreements related to investment banking transactions. Operating as a key contact for key Healthcare company-client relationships. Lead teams of junior investment bankers (Associates and Analysts) to execute transactions, prepare client materials and manage transaction processes, and provide mentorship to Associates and Analysts, and Summer Interns. Will travel 10% US to attend conferences and meeting with current and potential clients.
Requires Master’s (or foreign educ. equiv.) Degree in Business Administration, Finance Economics, Accounting or related field and three (3) years of experience in job offered or Investment Banking Associate. Alternatively, will accept Bachelor’s degree (foreign educ. equiv.) in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Accounting or related field and five (5) years (post-degree) experience in job offered or Investment Banking Associate. Requires Series 63 & 79 Licensure & SIE. Experience must have included Supporting the origination and execution of investment banking transaction mandates for public and private companies, which involves helping them achieve their strategic objectives through mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and raising capital to meet business needs through debt or equity offerings; Leading day-to-day M&A, capital raising, restructuring and financial advisory deal processes and projects by driving deal processes, managing resources, monitoring work quality and serving as the primary client liaison; Drafting and negotiating engagement letters, confidentiality agreements and other purchase agreements related to investment banking transactions; Preparing financial models and financial analysis, including detailed valuation analysis to assess the purchase price of a company using various industry established methodologies including Leveraged Buy Out (LBO) analysis, Discounted Cash Flow (DCF), accretion and dilution, comparative company analysis and sum of parts analysis; Participating in client meetings and drafting sessions; Facilitating sessions with finance professionals, CEOs, Board Members and PE investors; Building relationships and maintaining direct contact with clients, prospective clients, PE investors and professional advisors through regular presentations and timely communication; Leading teams of junior investment bankers including Associates and Analysts, to execute transactions, prepare client materials and manage transaction processes; Use of Excel and PowerPoint; and Working with the trends and competitive dynamics in the healthcare sector. $150,000-$250,000/yr.
