We are currently looking for Public Finance Transaction Specialist to join the public finance team in office, in either Leawood, KS, Denver, CO or Minneapolis, MN.
Who we are looking for?
The ideal candidate will appreciate variety in day-to-day activities, have an interest in supporting high performing teams of financial professionals, be excited to learn, and be a strong communicator. This fast-paced position will actively participate in facilitating bond transactions and related compliance tasks, provide assurance as to the quality and timeliness of documentation and work as an integrated team member promoting efficient and effective processes and workflow. This is a non-exempt, hourly position with overtime opportunity as needed.
Responsibilities:
Work in partnership with public finance investment banking teams to deliver transaction and public finance-related support.
Oversee the flow of key documentation, including drafting, distribution, and management.
Collect and analyze data and information needed to complete documentation.
Handle transactional tasks such as form completion, data entry, queries, and more.
Contribute to the development of presentations, and responses to requests for proposals.
Work closely with team members to identify and resolve any irregularities, errors or issues related to transaction documentation and the decision-making process.
Collaborate in identifying, recommending, and implementing improvement initiatives that enhances transaction processes and policy compliance.
Maintain high data quality standards and ensure compliance with appliable policies and procedures.
Provide additional operational support to team as required.
Take on broader work or responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications:
2-3 years of relevant financial services industry experience.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
FINRA Licenses Series 50, 52 and 63, or willingness to pursue as needed.
Strong computer skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite required.
Self-motivated, detail-oriented problem solvers with high work standards.
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and oral and written communications skills and a high level of discretion, maturity, and ethical integrity.
Highly professional and presentable to clients and internal partners.

The anticipated starting salary range for Kansas, Colorado or Minneapolis -based individuals expressing interest in this position is $65,000 - $75,000 per year. Placement within this range is dependent upon level of experience, location and other factors. This position is eligible for annual incentive compensation which will be a part of the total compensation. Total compensation for this position will be competitive with the market.
