What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Cook position at PIPER SHORES?
Piper Shores, Maine’s premier nonprofit retirement community, opened a new campus to complement our oceanside community in Scarborough. The Meadows (located adjacent to our main campus, just off Route 77 in Scarborough) hosts 90 residents in apartments, cottages and estate homes.
We are looking for a Lead Cook to work alongside a highly experienced and talented Chef Manager to prepare meals in our new restaurant, called The Wildflower. The menu at The Wildflower will feature a simple but creative blend of small plate style entrees (roasted bone marrow with chimichurri, beet carpaccio, house terrine/charcuterie boards, and mains such as fish & chips with celery remoulade and lobster pappardelle).
The restaurant will be open for dinner service, 5 days a week. Spend your mornings doing what you love – relaxing at Higgins Beach (right around the corner), making time for your hobbies and family, and be home with no early morning in front of you.

Ability to stand and move for an extended period of time, ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently required.
