Structured Cabling Technician

Location: This position is 100% travel (Monday – Friday) with no weekend work. Some projects may require overnight installation.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Cable Installation & Termination Experience (CAT 5, CAT 6)
- Reading blueprints/placement documents to install equipment in the correct location
- Basic power tool & hand tool experience
- Structured cabling/Fiber Installation
- Technical troubleshooting
- Point of Sale set up & configuration
- Ability to work independently and/or in a team environment
- Completing all required paperwork/deliverables for each site completed
Required Skills and Experience:
- Someone who is willing to learn, hard worker, attention to detail, with a high school diploma.
- Must have a driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Dependable and Reliable
- Comfortable driving cargo van & transporting equipment
- Must have your own basic hand tools
- Must be comfortable on scissor lifts and ladders
- Prior POS/Structured Cabling experience
- Familiarity with computer systems and basic networking
- Familiarity with device configuration and imaging
- OSHA10 preferred
- Familiarity with Microsoft products (e.g., Word, Excel)
- Proficient with the use of email, Microsoft Products Word & Excel), and the ability to learn internal systems
Physical Requirements:
The physical requirements and activities that are required to perform essential functions of the positions are as follows: Must be always able to lift, pull and push a minimum of 50 pounds, and stand for long periods of time.
Rate of pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
- Hourly rate will be commensurate with experience level
Status: Non-Exempt
Start Date: 1 – 2 weeks from the application screening process.
