What are the responsibilities and job description for the Feed Mill Driver position at Pipestone (Emp Serv LLC)?
OBJECTIVE:
Manufacture and deliver quality feed that meets the expectations of our shareholders and producers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (other duties as assigned)
Education:
High School Diploma
2 year degree preferred
Experience:
2 years of agriculture and heavy equipment transportation a plus but not required
Work Environment:
Operation of semi-tractor trailer combination during all seasons and times of day
Feed Mill environment
Noise levels that require hearing protection in some areas
Subject to adverse weather
Physical Requirements:
Standing, walking, and ability to be on feet 8 to 10 hours per day.
Frequent bending, reaching, squatting, and kneeling.
Frequent use of one or both hands/arms to grasp or pull.
Frequent lifting of objects weighing 3-20 pounds.
Occasional bending while pulling and/or lifting objects weighing up to 100 pounds or requiring up to 100 pounds of force to move with the assistance of another person as needed.
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Ability to attend and participate in meetings of various lengths.

Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to work

- Complete a pre-trip check to ensure the safety of the vehicle.
- Safe operation of tandem axle feed truck or semi with trailer
- Assist in loading complete feed trucks and unloading ingredient trucks.
- Grind and manufacture complete feed.
- Assist with truck and trailer maintenance
- Assisting with yard maintenance such as mowing, snow removal, and weed control
- Operate forklift moving pallets inside and outside of a warehouse.
