Associate Creative Director, Packaging Design

Essence of the role (Role's Purpose) : As an Associate Creative Director for Packaging Design in the Piping Rock Wholesale Department, you will play a key role in leading the creative direction and development of innovative packaging designs that reflect our brand's strategy and resonate with consumers. This role requires a unique blend of design expertise, strategic thinking, and creative leadership to produce visually compelling packaging that not only stands out on the shelf but also communicates the brands' identity, core values, and messaging in a meaningful way. You will oversee the end-to-end design process, from initial concept to final execution, ensuring that each packaging design aligns with our brand's vision. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will collaborate with marketing, product development, and production to ensure seamless integration of design with product goals and consumer needs.Recipe for Success (Responsibilities) :

• Lead the design and execution of product packaging that aligns with Piping Rock's portfolio of wholesale brands.
• Develop creative concepts and mock-ups packaging and marketing materials that resonate with target demographics, ensuring an engaging and premium aesthetic.
• Collaborate with product development, marketing, and sales teams to align packaging designs with customer insights and market trends.
• Contribute and mentor a team of designers, fostering creativity and professional growth.
• Oversee the end-to-end design process, including brainstorming, prototyping, revisions, and final production.
• Ensure packaging complies with regulatory standards for labeling and materials in the health and wellness industry.
• Stay informed about packaging innovations, sustainability practices, and competitive trends to bring fresh ideas to the brand.
• Present design concepts to leadership and stakeholders, articulating the creative rationale and addressing feedback constructively.
• Additional duties as assignedIngredients Required (Qualifications) :
• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field; a master's degree is a plus.
• 7 years of experience in packaging design, with at least 3 years in a leadership or senior design role.
• Strong portfolio showcasing exceptional packaging design, particularly within the health, wellness, or (CPG) consumer packaged goods sectors.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and other relevant design tools.
• Experience in 3D modeling or rendering software is a plus.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire a creative team.
• Strong understanding of branding, typography, color theory, and design principles.
• Knowledge of sustainable packaging solutions and regulatory compliance in the health and wellness industry.
• Exceptional organizational, communication, and project management skills.
