What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Handler Packaging position at Piramal Enterprises?
- Receives, distributes, and stores products as directed in designated, secure locations. Example - Packaging and 3950 Schelden Cir, Bethlehem warehouse
- Prepares and maintains records of materials received and shipped including dates of transactions, locations, and other pertinent information by way of SAP/PAS-X systems.
- Reviews FG shipments from packaging for accuracy; reviews accompanying documents for accuracy.
- Confirms picklist details and or special instructions provided by the weekly packaging schedule; expedites shipments that affect the packaging schedule.
- Transports and loads materials, supplies, and finished goods (manually and/or using hand trucks and skids) in and out of packaging, 3950 Schelden Cir, Bethlehem warehouse.
- When problems arise, resolves issues by contacting the following departments with email warehouse, planning, QC and packaging supervision.
- Apply Quarantine / Approval labels on finish good pallets
- Conducts weekly cycle counts of packaging and 3950 Schelden Cir, Bethlehem warehouse.
- Collects and properly disposes of scrap bracing, cardboard, and strapping; maintains a safe and clean work environment within packaging and 3950 Schelden Cir, Bethlehem warehouse.
- Utilize hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, conveyors, or other handling equipment to move material to and from trucks and within or to the main warehouse
- Documents all activities in a manner that is compliant with GDPs and all FDA regulations. This may include providing information to the person responsible for completing the packaging batch record.
- Utilizes SAP and PAS-X to perform material transactions and movements to align with physical transfers and consumption of materials, as well as to submit work orders
- Reports any safety issues to the proper personnel
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
