Job Overview
The Business Operations Manager is responsible for facilitating the evaluation of new opportunities, initiation of projects, and development of proposals. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Determine proposal scope and budget by identifying and clarifying client needs, studying requests for proposals (RFPs), and meeting with technical SMEs.
- Meet proposal deadlines by establishing priorities and target dates for information gathering, writing, review, and approval.
- Assist in efforts to gather, organize, evaluate, and forecast sales statistics and other data pertaining to pricing and proposal generation.
- Drive interdepartmental communications to define project scope, budget, and timelines.
- Maintain quality results by using templates and following proposal-writing standards, including readability, consistency, and flow.
- Assist in maintaining the proposal database.
- Build relationships with Business Development teams and potential customers through frequent communication during the RFP cycle.
- Serve as a communication conduit between sites and potential customers.
- Recognize and capitalize on trends in the business pipeline and help identify strategic opportunities.
- Organize and manage legal files and maintain the Business Development Master Index.
