Role Description
This role involves working closely with internal departments to evaluate new opportunities, initiate projects, and develop proposals. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a team environment, and have a strong attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and clarify client needs, studying requests for proposals (RFPs), and meeting with technical SMEs to determine proposal scope and budget.
- Establish priorities and target dates for information gathering, writing, review, and approval to meet proposal deadlines.
- Assist in efforts to gather, organize, evaluate, and forecast sales statistics and other data pertaining to pricing and proposal generation.
- Drive interdepartmental communications to define project scope, budget, and timelines.
- Maintain quality results by using templates and following proposal-writing standards, including readability, consistency, and flow.
- Assist in maintaining the proposal database.
- Build relationships with Business Development teams and potential customers through frequent communication during the RFP cycle.
- Serve as a communication conduit between sites and potential customers.
- Recognize and capitalize on trends in the business pipeline and help identify strategic opportunities.
- Organize and manage legal files and maintain the Business Development Master Index.
