Job Responsibilities: Direct, plan, coordinate and manage the activities of Project Management team. Provide support and a career development path for project managers (PMs), as well as provide thought leadership and training as needed to ensure uniform project management practices. Ensure even distribution of project management resources across projects to enable effective and efficient utilization of resources. Collaborate with the leadership team and ensure that the project management group is effectively represented. Encourage an environment where department members seek opportunities to improve current practices. Mentor team members and encourage a positive team atmosphere. Ensure the achievement of the project objectives/scope (quality, costs, deadlines, customer expectations, and satisfaction) and monitor project status to ensure everything stays on track. Integrate client relationship management with project governance to realize client goals. Manage individual projects to budget and schedule by working with internal teams and clients to identify critical paths, challenges, risks, and solutions. Achieve CSI score deliverables through execution of client deliverables. Monitor departmental budget consistent with company financial goals and hold direct reports accountable for such budget. Define, track, evaluate, and communicate department Key Performance Indicators. Maintain the revenue forecast in close collaboration with project managers, management team, and Business Development team. Respond to escalated project issues that may impede project delivery and coordinate the solution. Ensure detailed risk assessment workshops for each project. Routinely provide senior management with a project portfolio report, which includes budget and schedule variance, risks, and status. Effectively schedule, facilitate, and manage team meetings and ensure that proper communication regarding the project is appropriately elevated and distributed. Facilitate the readiness/leadership review of key projects through the Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP) process with focus on bottlenecks, risks, challenges, scenario planning, project performance related metrics (including project revenue forecast and budget) and key decision points requiring leadership approval. Qualifications: Education Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in applicable scientific field required. PMP Certification and/or Master's Degree in Business or Project Management. Work Experience: Minimum 10 years previous pharmaceutical industry early-stage development experience required. Minimum 4 years Contract Development & Manufacturing experience.
