Description of Responsibility:-
- Direct, plan, coordinate and manage the activities of Project Management team
- Provide support and a career development path for project managers (PMs), as well as provide thought leadership and training as and when needed to ensure uniform project management practices
- Ensure even distribution of project management resources across projects to enable effective and efficient utilization of resources
- Collaborate with the leadership team and ensure that the project management group is effectively represented
- Encourage an environment where department members seek opportunities to improve current practices
- Mentor team members and encourage positive team atmosphere
- Ensures the achievement of the project objectives/scope (quality, costs, deadlines, customer expectations and satisfaction) and monitors project status to make sure everything stays on track.
- Integrate client relationship management with project governance to realize client goals
- Manage individual projects to budget and schedule by working with internal team and client to identify, critical path, challenges, risks and solutions
- Achieve CSI score deliverables through execution of client deliverables
- Monitor departmental budget consistent with company financial goals and hold direct reports accountable for such budget
- Define, Track, evaluate, and communicate department Key Performance Indicators
- Maintain the revenue forecast in close collaboration with project managers, management team and Business Development team
- Respond to escalated project issues that may impede project delivery and co-ordinate the solution.
- Ensure detailed risk assessment workshops for each project
- Routinely provide senior management with a project portfolio report, which shall include budget and schedule variance, risks, and status.
- Effectively schedule, facilitate and manage team meetings and ensure that proper communication regarding the project is appropriately elevated and distributed
- Facilitate the readiness / leadership review of key projects through the Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP) process with focus on bottlenecks, risks and challenges, scenario planning, project performance related metrics (including project revenue forecast and budget) and key decision points requiring leadership approval.
