Assistant Swim Coach

Piranhas Swim Club seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Coach to work with our novice and age group programs. Ideal candidates will have experience in competitive swimming and a passion for growing the sport. Prior experience working with children is preferred.

Duties
- Assist the group coaches with practices for novice athletes aged 8-13
- Provide constructive feedback to help athletes improve their performance
- Promote teamwork and sportsmanship in a competitive and fun environment
- Foster a positive environment that encourages personal growth and development

Requirements
- Experience swimming competitively or teaching swimming at any level
- Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with youth
- Passion for swimming and making the sport fun for athletes
- Weeknight availability
- Lifeguard/AED/CPR and/or SafeSport certifications are appreciated but not required.

Job Details

Our practice facilities are located at Richfield Middle School and Oak Grove Middle School (Bloomington). Practices last for 1.5 hours and take place between 6-8:30pm depending on location.

We ask that coaches commit to at least 2-3 practices per week to maintain consistency. We offer opportunities to coach up to five days a week as well as coach at weekend meets if interested. Our season is year-round with breaks in April and August.
