Job Overview:
As a Pediatric Medical Scribe, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our pediatric practice. You will work directly with our Physicians to document patient encounters in real-time and in the exam room, ensuring accurate and comprehensive medical records. This position is ideal for individuals with a passion for pediatrics and a strong desire to contribute to the well-being of children.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately and efficiently document patient encounters in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Arrange laboratory services
- Assist Physicians with patient care, including rooming patients, taking vital signs, and preparing for examinations.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Organize and schedule appointments
- Interview patients and document basic medical history including medications or changes to medical history
- Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient flow.
- Provide outstanding customer service to patients and their families.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a medical scribe or in a healthcare setting (Preferred).
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency in EMR systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Passion for working with children and their families.
- EMR systems: 2 years (Preferred)
- Vital signs: 2 years (Preferred)
- BLS Certification (Preferred)
- CCMA Certification (Preferred)
