JOB TITLE: Product Development Technician

REPORTS TO: Product Development Manager

JOB PURPOSE: To provide support in development of new products or modifications of existing products as part of the product development team with target to meet and exceed safety, quality, and production standards

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Assist in development of CAD drawings required and cycles for the prototype builds.
• Assist in prototype builds including the communication of any details, execution of the build, collecting tires, sorting tires, and submitting testing as required for the approval of the Quality Indu procedure.
• Assist in the development of tire specifications for continuous improvement of product quality
• Collaborate with the factory’s Production, Quality, and Maintenance personnel in both product and process improvement efforts
• Perform the daily product actions planned and agreed within the RD group to improve the factory output and results

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• MIRS process knowledge along with knowledge of Finished Product defects.
• High level of computer literacy
• Capability to work on own initiative, autonomously where required and to take responsibility
• Ability to work in a team environment, participating in continuous improvement activities using problem solving techniques
• Some experience working with CAD applications is a plus
• Some travel could be required
