Job Summary
The Recruiting Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the law firm's hiring process, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience for candidates and hiring managers. This position is responsible for coordinating recruitment activities, managing candidate communications, scheduling interviews, and maintaining hiring records. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, professional environment.
This is a hybrid role requiring in-office days on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Occasional evening work may be required for events.
Duties
- Manages the recruitment process for staff, associates, summer associates, and pipeline programs.
- Meets regularly with Recruiting Committee and Executive Director to review hiring needs and potential candidates. Works with Recruiting Committee on strategic identification and development of attorney candidate pipelines.
- Oversees and coordinates pipeline programs including on-campus recruiting, 1L and 2L summer associate, first year associate, and spring/summer intern programs.
- Creates and manages job postings. Coordinates recruitment process for associate candidates, including initial review of candidate materials, respond to inquiries, coordinate interview process (scheduling, monitoring, evaluation follow-up, travel, offers), and communicate with candidates and headhunters regarding candidate status.
- Serves as a point of contact for candidates throughout the hiring process, providing updates, answering inquiries, and ensuring a positive candidate experience.
- Plans, executes, and manages 1L and 2L Summer Associate Program. Works with law school placement offices and coordinates recruitment process. Registers the firm for on-campus interviewing at law schools; coordinates OCI dates with other offices; makes necessary arrangements at law schools for hospitality suites and pre-OCI receptions; oversees hotel arrangements for interviewers and firm representatives.
- Assist mentors with summer associate work assignments and prepares evaluation materials for feedback sessions and final offer meeting. Assists the Recruiting Committee in the administrative aspects of the decision-making process for summer associate offers.
- Coordinates and oversees recruiting-related events, programs, and career fairs including budget and event organization.
- Responsible for 1L and 2L outreach emails and marketing materials on campuses.
- Serve as a liaison between the firm and external recruiting agencies, ensuring effective communication, tracking submissions, and managing agency agreements.
- Coordinates with Marketing on recruiting-related social media initiatives.
- Coordinates onboarding, orientation, and training with HR, IT, Docketing and Accounting for new hires and pipeline candidates.
- Plan and coordinate networking and social events for summer associates, ensuring a positive experience and strong firm engagement.
- Serves as a key contact for and manages relationships with search firms, law schools, universities, diversity programs, and professional organizations.
- Prepares, tracks, and maintains recruiting budget.
- Identify opportunities to streamline and improve recruiting processes and enhance the candidate experience.
- Ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Assists with other duties and projects as assigned.
Experience
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university and 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with high attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and applicant tracking systems (ATS) experience preferred.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 - $31.25 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
