Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Estimator to produce accurate signage project cost estimates to ensure competitive, timely bids. Strong analytical skills, industry knowledge, and the ability to manage details while seeing the big picture are essential for success.
Responsibilities
- Review RFPs with the ability to analyze sign drawings and identify all necessary elements (material and labor) to perform accurate takeoffs from internal drawings as well as civil and architectural plan sets.
- Obtain accurate quotes for materials and systems to establish accurate cost estimates.
- Prepare detailed and comprehensive estimates for signage projects, including itemized breakdowns of costs.
- Proactively communicate with sales/design team to thoroughly define project scope and ensure accurate, reasonable and competitive quotes are given on a timely basis.
- Maintain current knowledge of materials, labor costs, and fabrication methods.
- Solutions-based, proactive, organized, detail-oriented, multi-tasker, strong time management skills
- Flexibility to work both collaboratively and independently on projects of all scales and types.
- Collaborate with sales, project managers, designers, vendors, and production/installer managers to ensure project success.
- Ability to find vendors, communicate needs, value engineer solutions and negotiate pricing.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to “see the big picture” while focusing on the details.
