Lead Dispatcher
PIRTEK in Elk Grove Village is seeking to hire a Lead Dispatcher. This position allows for a hybrid work structure where you can work remotely or from the office.
This position's pay range is $23 - $27 (depending on experience).
POSITION OVERVIEW The Lead Dispatcher will be responsible for dispatching field service technicians to service calls. Along with dispatching service calls, this position will work to achieve optimal efficiencies helping us to reach our service level customer expectations. Communication skills are very important as you will work with both internal team members and external customers. In this role, you will gain a sense of accomplishment by being part of a team and helping solve customer problems. The Lead Dispatcher will help ensure that our company maintains its profitability and a productive environment. This position also provides administrative support to all the sales reps, technicians, and managers of operations.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Schedule and dispatch field service technicians by making sure job sites receive service on time.
- Oversee all communications and relay messages and information to or from work crews, supervisors, and field personnel.
- Communicate with the shop for necessary repairs to restore service and schedules.
- Monitor equipment locations and utilization to coordinate service and schedules.
- Review daily time sheets for timekeeping.
- Perform all other duties and tasks as assigned
- Deal courteously and tactfully with fellow employees and customers if necessary.
Knowledge Skills & Abilities:
- Problem Solving: Strong ability to resolve scheduling conflicts efficiently while maintaining clear, effective communication with all levels of field personnel. Capable of working through issues that involve a limited set of specific variables within standardized situations, ensuring solutions that support project continuity and efficiency.
- Interpersonal Communication:
- Internal Contacts: Daily communication with Fleet Drivers, Shop personnel, MSST's, and other departments as necessary, to support coordinated operations.
- External Contacts: Interaction with customers, as well as equipment sales and rental vendors, to facilitate external needs and maintain strong professional relationships.
- Supervisory Responsibility: Skilled in supervising and managing the activities of a Dispatch Team to ensure alignment with company standards.

Qualifications and minimum requirements
- High school diploma, GED or preferred
- Minimum of 18 years old
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently
- Ability to operate a computer/tablet to enter and retrieve data
- Must be willing and able to perform a variety of physical activities including, bending, stooping, climbing, and working in tight spaces
- Must be able to work during day and night shifts, weekends, and holidays; mandatory overtime may be required based on operational need
- Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualifications
