Vacation Rental Manager
We are seeking a highly organized and driven Vacation Rental Property Manager to manage the daily operations of a select portfolio of vacation rentals, ongoing maintenance schedules, housekeeping operations, and a team of 3rd party vendors (maintenance, cleaners, plumbers, etc.)
The Vacation Rental Property Manager will work to ensure that all properties are properly maintained and that all cleaning and field staff is adhering to the companies strict cleaning standards and processes.
Responsibilities:
⦁ Manage the housekeeping teams to ensure all properties are clean and made ready for guest arrivals
⦁ Take care of guest issues as they arrive
⦁ Conduct and/or schedule inspections prior to guest arrivals. Identify and coordinate repairs and maintenance as needed
⦁ Mitigate guest concerns in an empathetic, timely, and effective manner
⦁ Handle complaints and specific customer requests
⦁ Manage the upkeep, maintenance, and inventory of the property in conjunction with owners. Replace items where necessary using approved suppliers and equipment.
⦁ Troubleshoot emergencies
⦁ Participate in the recruiting and training process of staff and independent contractors to ensure they are being deployed in a productive manner
Skills:
⦁ Background in Hospitality, 2-3 years of progressive Hotel Rooms Management experience, property management, or other related fields.
⦁ Must possess the following strengths: high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader, effective communicator, effective in providing exceptional customer service, and ability to improve the bottom line
⦁ Hotel/Hospitality degree an asset
⦁ Knowledge in the Short Term Rental Industry
⦁ Proficiency in Google Sheets and Google Docs
⦁ Knowledge of Airbnb and its policies
⦁ Strong attention to detail
⦁ Experience building and managing a team of housekeepers in the hospitality, hotel, and/or short term rental industries
⦁ Ability to work well under pressure in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment
⦁ Availability to work weekends
⦁ Availability to work nights as necessary
⦁ Excellent communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate yourself in email
⦁ Ability to work well under pressure
⦁ Anything is possible attitude
⦁ Highly responsive and reliable; excellent attention to detail
⦁ Car & Valid Driver's License are a must
This is a full-time position. Due to the nature of the job, the Vacation Rental Manager should be flexible with their hours. Weekends are required due to business demands and occupancy levels. The Vacation Rental Manager is allowed two (2) days off per week but should always be available in case of emergency or due to unpredictable guest arrivals. All Vacation Rental Managers are required to be on-call 2 to 3 nights per week.
