Responsibilities
- Assist the General Manager in overseeing daily operations and maintaining high standards of service.
- Manage inventory control to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize waste.
- Train, mentor, and develop staff to enhance their skills and performance.
- Conduct interviews and participate in the hiring process for new team members.
- Handle cash management duties, including cash handling procedures and reconciliation.
- Foster a positive work environment through effective team management and communication.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the restaurant.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues to maintain guest satisfaction.
- Implement operational strategies to improve efficiency and profitability.
Experience
- Previous experience as an Assistant Manager or in a leadership role within the food industry is required.
- Familiarity with casual fine dining or sushi restaurant operations is a plus.
- Strong skills in team management, staff training, and leadership are essential.
- Experience with inventory control processes is beneficial.
