Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to oversee the operations of our establishment. We are a casual fine dining Sushi restaurant located in beautiful downtown Dunedin!
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality management and demonstrate exceptional leadership skills. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our team delivers outstanding customer service while maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. The General Manager will be responsible for managing daily operations, including budgeting, inventory control, and shift management, to create an exceptional dining experience for our guests.
Duties
- Lead and manage all aspects of the establishment, ensuring efficient operations and high-quality service.
- Coordinating events and ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving any issues promptly.
- Manage shift schedules for 50 employees, ensuring adequate staffing levels to meet operational needs.
- Control inventory levels, placing orders as necessary to maintain stock without overextending resources.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards in the kitchen and dining areas.
- Develop budgets and monitor financial performance, implementing strategies to improve profitability.
- Train, mentor, and lead staff to foster a positive work environment and enhance team performance.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in hospitality management or a related field.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food service.
- Experience in budgeting and financial management within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Proficient in inventory control processes and procedures.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience in shift management is preferred.
