We are seeking a passionate, caring, and enthusiastic Child Care Toddler Assistant Teacher to join our team. This role involves working closely with our lead teacher to create engaging, developmentally appropriate activities for 1-2 year old children.
Job Description:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Toddler Room Assistant Teacher to join our dynamic childcare team. As an Assistant Teacher, you will help provide a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for toddlers, ensuring their social, emotional, and cognitive development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Lead Teacher in daily classroom activities and lessons for children aged 1-3 years.
- Help create a warm, welcoming, and stimulating learning environment.
- Support children in developing social skills, emotional regulation, and basic cognitive concepts.
- Supervise children during playtime, meals, and other daily routines.
- Implement age-appropriate activities and provide individualized attention to support developmental milestones.
- Monitor and document each child's progress and behavior.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment.
- Communicate regularly with parents about children's progress, needs, and any concerns.
- Assist with diapering, toileting, and other personal care routines.
- Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in early childhood education or related field is preferred.
- Previous experience working with young children, preferably in a daycare or preschool setting.
- Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with young children.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to stay organized and manage multiple tasks in a busy environment.
- Must pass background check and meet state licensing requirements.
