• Prior experience in high-end hospitality services OR previous barista experience
• Committed to welcoming people into the space as if it were one’s own home
• Ability to host and interact with a diverse customer base
• High integrity with a great attendance record
• Ability to listen and communicate effectively

Responsibilities
- Promotes coffee consumption by educating customers; preparing and serving a variety of coffee drinks, along with pastries.
- Welcomes customers by determining their coffee interests and needs.
- Educates customers by presenting and explaining the coffee drink menu; answering questions.
- Prepares and sells coffee drinks by following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques for coffee drinks, such as, espresso, cortado, latte, and cappuccino.
- Generates revenue by attracting new customers; defining new and expanded services and products.
- Maintains inventories by replenishing coffee bean supply; stocking and maintaining supplies, pastries, and cookies, retail, paper goods etc.
- Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance.
- Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations.
- Maintains the appearance of the store and coffee bar.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities--taking advantage of supplied handbook/materials and Pistachio-management-run orientations and trainings.
- Enhances coffee shop reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
