Responsibilities
- Sets up and stocks food items and other necessary supplies.
- Prepares food items by cutting, chopping, mixing, and preparing sauces.
- Prepares and stores bulk ingredients for use in recipes.
- Cooks food items by grilling, frying, sautéing, and other cooking methods to specified recipes and standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and complies with food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage.
- Cleans and sanitizes cooking surfaces and kitchen at the end of the shift.
- Performs any inventory checks and completes food storage logs.
Qualifications
- Back of house/kitchen/line/food-prep experience
- Able to meet all scheduling commitments
- Able to anticipate needs of others in the kitchen and proactively work to meet those needs
- Strong attention to detail
- Knowledge of Health Dept./Food Safety Standards is a MUST.
- ServSafe Certification Manager - REQUIRED or willing to get.
- Ability to listen and communicate effectively with all team members
