Job Summary
We are seeking a Shop Assistant to join our team in the Oil and Gas industry. The ideal candidate will assist in various tasks related to repairs, refabrication and assembly of Casing and Tubing equipment.
Responsibilities
- Assemble equipment and/or parts using hand and power tools
- Assist in fabricating components for projects
- Write and keep track of equipment reports and correspondence
- Read and interpret documents such as Safety Rules, Operating and Maintenance Instructions and Procedures
- Operate forklift and crane to move materials within the shop
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Experience with power tools and hand tools is required
- Familiarity with Casing and Tubing equipment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, constantly changing, environment
- Knowledge of Casing Running Tools, Hydraulic Power Units, Power Tongs, Slips or Torque Turn a Plus
- Reliable transportation to and from work
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 38 – 45 per week
